Little Penang Street Market 29 August 2010

LPSMarket celebrating Merdeka in the month of Ramadan. Fly our National flag on Merdeka day. Come to LP and get a free Malaysia Flag while stocks last.

Prizes will be given to visitors who come dressed in Malaysian flag colours.Judging will be at 3.30pm and prize giving at 4.15pm.

Special performance of kompang music and silat with the usual lots of music and performances, clown will be in attendance from noon to 2.00pm to give away sculpture balloons ...and some clowny antics to tickle our funny bones.

Adult and children story telling will be on whole day with participation from Learning Garden and Wendy House students and local story tellers. It is also open to any wannabe story teller from young to old. Just walk in and take a number.

See you all there. Upper Penang Road,the best place to be on the last Sunday of each month. Don't miss out all the fun and the beautiful crafts, souvenirs and delicious food.

Little Penang Street Market 4th Anniversary Celebrations

Sunday 25th is coming up ....

This time the theme is Showcasing Penang Peranakan Culture.

We have face painting, stone painting, henna drawing, shoes and tshirt painting in activities for the children as well as the adults. Nyonya cooking demo and try your hand in wrapping a nyonya chang. Cost is only RM3 each and you will take home the wrap chang to cook. Only open to 30 participants.

There will be choir and dancing from the Straits Chinese Association, Ranko the Japanese opera singer will be coming too. Remember her a few months ago when she sang at our market? Marlene Fox our hardworking Entertainment director has more performers lining up for this month.

YB Wong Hon Wai will be officiating the celebration at around 11.00am.

Have a fun and enjoyable day this 25th July. UPR the best venue to be on the last Sunday of the month from 10.00am to 5.00pm. Opposite E&O Hotel.

一些手作

好一段时间没什么放作品上来，毕竟，偶尔真的懒得拍照。再说，我不晓得是相机出了问题，还是电池，甚至是充电器，往往这头刚充好电没拍几张就没电，很没趣。


我们还是持续制作这些小玩意儿……

一些玫瑰发夹。

Ladybird耳环，有不同大小尺寸哦。

还有一些蘑菇耳环，几款不相同的颜色。

也DIY了一些以玫瑰为主题的项链。

还有手链。其实我不是很会做手链，还需要多多学习。

当然，也免不了以花为主题的耳环。

加上最近刚开始学习的DIY耳环。

拍到最后，正要拍甜甜圈及其它之时，相机没电。唉！真没办法，算了，下次吧，呵呵。

Home Sweet Home

Home Sweet Home，这是份特别定制的生日礼物，给一位婚姻美满，生活幸福的朋友。


一个简单的置信箱，我们尝试做出房子的感觉，然后女主人很幸福地微笑着，手捧面包及花朵。同时，加上两个小钩子可挂钥匙圈，增加这礼物的功能性。




据说，主人收了以后，非常欢喜。托我们制作这礼物的朋友也感觉非常满意……
我很想说，谢谢你们。谢谢喜欢我们手作的朋友，更感激常常给予我们鼓励、意见的朋友。

We will be participated in MyPenang Reunion 'Chap Goh Meh' celebration at The Esplanade from the 27th to the 28th February 2010. The time is from 5.00pm until late for two days.

The second day clashes with Little Penang Street Martket on the 28th morning, but LPSM is still on and will not be cancelled.

想家咯

前天晚上去看本土贺岁片《大日子》，看见那一片蔚蓝的海，想家了。

今年过年没能提早回家，无法帮母亲做糕饼，十分遗憾。贴上去年拍的几张照片，望梅止渴。

母亲做的Fruit Cake，尝过的人无不叫好，一瓶V.S.O.P用得毫无节制，而老爸则叫苦连天，因为那是他的收藏品，呵呵。

我忘了这叫什么名，只记得老爸爱吃，呵呵。

母亲的凤梨酥在朋友间向来也获得不错的评语噢！

前几年在这些朋友的多番怂恿下，少量卖起了凤梨酥。包装嘛，是我替她做的，赚不赚钱没关系，老人家开心就好。

过一个年，忙忙碌碌纷纷扰扰，所为何物？我只想好好与家人团聚，懒洋洋躺在沙发上看影片，呵呵。

上星期，总算能腾出时间去参观琉璃工坊的展览，心中既期待又兴奋。

岂知，到了会场才知道展览已在前一天圆满结束。竟然搞错时间！！

刹那间，我的心情掉到谷底，沮丧得无法言语。这不是一般展览，错过以后，不知何时何年何月再有了。

催头丧气在广场内随意逛逛，走到大苹果里头，买了六粒甜甜圈。我虽做了好多好多的甜甜圈饰品，却很少买真实的甜甜圈来吃，这是第二次。

味道如何?还好。我只记得当日的心情是苦的……

珍惜当下

槟州龙舟惨剧，震惊每一位关系时事的人们。
那是一件叫人感到哀伤的意外。
这几天，骂政府、怪学校等等“马后炮”的人们统统涌现。
我不知道你怎么想。
我只想珍惜身边人。
珍惜当下。

钥匙座Key Holder

给一位朋友制做了这个钥匙座Key Holder， 作为她同事（若我没记错）的生日礼物。

选择做Key Holder，是因为希望“礼物”比较具备功能性，而非纯粹装饰而已。

放了钥匙以后，稍重的一边就平衡了。

上色颇花时间的，其实。

最近，预先做了大约7套类似如此的手工作品，其中有时钟、钥匙座等具备一些功能性的东西，目前还未上色。完毕后，再上载展示给大家看看吧。如果喜欢、有兴趣的话，也欢迎你向我们询问详情哦。

赚到了

摆档的日子，总会遇见形形色色的人。有些很友善，有些非常刁钻，没礼貌。一种米养百种人，对方跩，不代表我也要跟着跩。礼貌是我应尽的本分，只不过，假设对方比较客气，那我的折扣也给得比较随意，假设对方很跩，那我也不过少给折扣，或根本不给而已。

我没亏本，呵呵。

最叫人欢喜，是看见可爱的小孩。小孩不耍心机，单纯可爱。常忍不住送小孩发夹，看着他们脸上弯弯的弧线，或腼腆的表情，嗯，赚到了，我赚到了 :)

生日礼物

一位可爱的女生，联合几位好友定制这相框，作为一位朋友的21岁生日礼物。经过几次商量，我们虽有了初步共识，然而，他们仍将大部分的主意交由我来决定，任我发挥。（真的非常感激）


礼物送了出去以后，据说，寿星很喜欢，而我则松了一口气。朋友询道：“平日要如何照顾？用湿布擦拭行吗？”


其实，是OK的,只不过我不建议这么做。毕竟经湿布擦拭以后，难免会遗留一些水份，这些水份，会沾粘更多顽固尘埃，令作品失色。

因此，我建议使用干净且柔软的刷子，轻轻扫去灰尘既可。我们的作品一般都粘得很紧，但万一，我是说万一有什么脱落的话，请记得交回我们，我们会替你弄好的，呵呵 :)
